Translation: The Disruptive Logic of the Oil and Gas Industry: Insights from Groningen and the Niger Delta
In the edited volume ‘Insight in Impact’ compiled by the Kennisplatform Leefbaar en Kansrijk Groningen, Nienke Busscher and Obiozo Ukpabi discussed the impacts of extractivist logics of the fossil fuel industry on local residents in Groningen (Netherlands) and the Niger Delta (Nigeria). They explored the similarities and differences in state-corporate responses to the destructive consequences of extraction, and described what is needed to improve current and future activities in both contexts.
The entire Edited Volume is available on the website of the Knowledge Platform, as well as a summarized version in English (excluding the essays) here.
