On July 11, Niké was invited as a guest for the NOS broadcast on the annual Srebenica genocide commemoration. Together with Adnan Delić, chair of the commemoration committee, she spoke on the need for a permanent monument for the genocide, preferably in the building of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. She also emphasized the importance of recognizing the genocide as a shared Bosnian-Dutch history, for which the Dutch society should take more responsibility, for example through more thorough genocide education – especially in today’s world. The interview was part of an hour-long reporting containing images from Den Haag and Srebrenica, and was broadcast on national television.
